Writing Obituaries

As you can see I have written a couple of obituaries. This came about as I was talking to a friend of mine. When he told me and showed me what he had written, his obituary. This got me to thinking about mine. What do I want to be remembered by, no how do I want God to remember me. How and what did I do to get to go to his house for eternal life. We are all on this earth for a reason. We fumble our way through life and times with no guidance. All we have to do is ask God for help. He is there willing to help us. We don’t always like what he wants us to do. It’s too much work.

I look at the disciples and they were ordinary people like you and I. He used ordinary people to spread his word. We can move mountains if that is what God wants us to do. We all can improve the world one person at a time. I know I want to be welcomed into Gods house. There is nowhere else I want to be after I am done on this earth. It is such a glorious place where we are going. But we don’t want to leave this earth even with all the problems and sorrows we have. Yes there are many good times also, lest we not forget those. Even Jesus did not want to leave this earth. He asked God may this cup pass me, but it is your will, not mine. Even God shed tears as he saw his son die on the cross. Let’s not forget that he gave his only begotten Son for our sins. Now that is something spectacular. We can’t comprehend what that really means.

I am so thankful for my friend to have shared this with me. I had not even though of writing my own obituary. Now go out and do what God has planned for you.

God bless each and everyone.
